Questions

The WP200 series processors are not compatible with a Quick-Hitch.

Neither the WP200 series nor the WP800 series hydraulic system has enough capacity to operate extra hydraulic attachments.

The winch and the splitter can be operated at the same time without loss in pressure or speed.

The Auto Cycle system is controlled by the splitter valve. The valve has two handles – one controls the cylinder extension, and the other controls the cylinder retraction. To operate the Auto Cycle function, move both levers into the detent position. The detent holds the handles in the open position and the cylinder extends.

When cylinder is fully extended, pressure buildup inside the extension section of the valve will kick the lever into neutral and send fluid to the retraction section to retract the cylinder. When the cylinder is fully retracted, pressure buildup inside the retraction section of the valve kicks the lever into neutral and the cylinder will stay in the retracted position until the valve is manually operated again.

The levers may be operated individually to extend or retract the cylinder without using the Auto Cycle function.

It is not feasible to add Auto Cycle to a model that does not already have it.

Three-point hitch models are more economical to purchase, operate and maintain, and are easier to transport around a property and through a bushlot. Their disadvantage is that they require a tractor to operate them.

Trailer models are more easily transportable from site to site. Their disadvantage is that they are more costly to purchase, operate and maintain due to the engine, pump, tires, and lights (if equipped).

We use Dexron III Automatic Transmission Fluid. Dexron III does not change thickness with the outside temperature like hydraulic fluid does, resulting in more consistent performance and less possibility of damage to the pump.

The extra hose on the cylinder provides the return fluid with a second route back to the hydraulic tank, as the cylinder retracts. This hose is connected to a normally closed dump valve.

As the cylinder retracts, the pressure used to retract it opens the dump valve providing a second route to tank for the returning oil. Doing this increases the speed of cylinder retraction, therefore reducing cylinder cycle time.

The first requirement is that the saw have 2 bar studs. The bar studs are used to fasten the saw to the mount. We recommend a 24” bar in order to take full advantage of the wood processor's 22” log diameter capacity. The mount is adjustable to accommodate up to a maximum 30” bar length.
